Bright Spot

Overeaters Anonymous members near Minneapolis, Minnesota seeking an in-person meeting might be interested in the Bright Spot. We meet Wednesdays at the Sahara Club in St. Louis Park, 7:30 – 8:30 P.M.

The Bright Spot Meeting of OA is a Step/Study meeting.  On most weeks, the trusted servant facilitates a reading, or study, of one of OA’s steps or traditions using OA approved literature, or that approved by AA.  On the 4th Wednesday of each month, we hold a “speaker’s meeting” where a member of our group shares at length about the experience, strength and hope they have found within OA.

As we extend the heart and hand of the OA Fellowship to those who still suffer, let us be mindful of OA’s Unity with Diversity Policy, which respects our differences, yet unites us in the solution to our common problem. Whatever problem you may have with food, you are welcome at this meeting, regardless of race, creed, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other attribute.

By following the Twelve Steps, attending meetings regularly, and using the OA Tools, we are changing our lives. You will find hope and encouragement in Overeaters Anonymous. To the newcomer, we suggest attending at least six different meetings to learn the many ways OA can help you.
